Codemasters alternate history shooter pushed back to mid-March in the UK; US still on for February 29th...

Codemasters has today confirmed that the UK launch of Turning Point: Fall of Liberty has been pushed back to March 14th.

The shooter, set in an alternate history where the Nazi's invade the United States, has been developed by Spark Unlimited, which is also working on Legendary for Gamecock/Atari. The titles will be the studio's first projects since the 2004 release of Call of Duty: Finest Hour on Xbox, PS2, and GameCube.

Still on course for release in North America this Friday (February 29th), players follow New York construction worker Dan Carson as he joins the resistance, taking the fight from the Big Apple to Washington DC, and eventually, Nazi-occupied London.

The delay of the game just two days before its scheduled release is certainly an unusual move; TVG is awaiting further clarification from Codemasters' representatives.

i find this pointless, no one ever went on multiplayer, the graphics were ok on a hd tv, but the gameplay and storyline lacked charisma. tbh this is worst game i evere rented, even against ps1's and ps2's!

overall its not worth buying or renting for that matter!

2/10.

I dont see why the review is so hateful of this game. Sure the Graphics arn't the best but they are certainly better than that of say, Call of Duty 4. I found the campaign highly entertaining but the multiplayer was basically non-existant thanks to reviews like the above, which put many people off. Even if this isnt a game to buy it should definatly been one to rent at least. =]
