Codies Signs Lost Composer To Score Turning Point News
Veteran composer of TV, movies, and videogames signs on the dotted line for Codemasters' upcoming alternate reality FPS...
By Jon WilcoxPosted: 27/06/2007
Codemasters has today unveiled Michael Giacchino as the composer for Spark Unlimited's upcoming title, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. Giacchino, whose previous work includes TV series 'Lost' and 'Alias', has worked with Spark Unlimited in the past, scoring Call of Duty: Finest Hour on Xbox, PlayStation2, and GameCube.
"I love working with Spark because they're a group that's focused on fusing innovation, quality and narrative into an intensity of game experience very few can create," stated Michael Giacchino. "For this game, we've taken an interesting approach that will allow the score to be more unique and emotionally personal to the player."
"I consider it an honour to be working with Michael once again," said Scott Langteau, Chief Operating Officer of Spark Unlimited. "Together with Michael, we have developed a system that will evoke mood, setting, and emotional involvement with a dynamic structure to deliver musically on Turning Point's themes: the dissonance of an occupied state, the chaos that comes from resisting an unstoppable oppressing army, and the heroic feeling of making a difference as an individual."
"We're very excited to have Michael scoring Turning Point," said Barry Jafrato, Senior Vice President of Brand, Codemasters. "Michael is not only a gifted composer, but his experience working with video game production teams allows him to craft truly unique and innovative game soundtracks that increase emotional impact for players."
Pencilled in for release during the already congested Fall/Holiday period on Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and PC, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is set in an alternate reality where the Nazis launch a full-scale invasion of the United States.

Yep, well that's not far off our review score to be honest - 3/10.

i find this pointless, no one ever went on multiplayer, the graphics were ok on a hd tv, but the gameplay and storyline lacked charisma. tbh this is worst game i evere rented, even against ps1's and ps2's!
overall its not worth buying or renting for that matter!
2/10.

I dont see why the review is so hateful of this game. Sure the Graphics arn't the best but they are certainly better than that of say, Call of Duty 4. I found the campaign highly entertaining but the multiplayer was basically non-existant thanks to reviews like the above, which put many people off. Even if this isnt a game to buy it should definatly been one to rent at least. =]
