Rumours suggest another publisher is keen to take Level 5 MMORPG to the Next-Generation...

Itâ??s a fact that the development of MMORPGâ??s is often fraught with peril; in the past few years numerous titles have joined the lengthy list of casualties, cancelled relatively late on in development such as Ultima X: Odyssey, Warhammer Online, Dragon Empires and most notably True Fantasy Live Online.

Despite the low success rate attached to the development of these titles, combined with the prohibitive development costs, time and general lack of knowledge, interest still remains high in such titles.

Which is why weâ??re hoping that the rumours of another publisher taking up Microsoftâ??s canned Xbox Live hope, True Fantasy Live Online, holds some merit. The suggestion is that an as-of-yet unknown publisher is looking to transform the Level-5 developed title to the next-generation of consoles, although exactly which one remains unknown at this stage.

Weâ??ll hopefully have more information soon.
