The process to develop a sequel for Tony Hawk: RiDE has already begun at Robomodo, reveals the tubular skater himself...
Despite the fact that Tony Hawk: RiDE launched in the US a week ago and won't even reach the UK until December 5th, Tony Hawk himself has seemingly confirmed that he's already working alongside Robomodo on a sequel.
When Gamespot asked Hawk when he would begin work on a possible sequel with Robomodo, he revealed that "We have already started that process, but who knows what the future holds. I've never had a master plan, especially with our old series, of how many we could do, or how far we could take it."
As far as I'm concerned, it's all systems go with trying to make at least a sequel for this," Hawk continued, "because I feel like we've only just really tapped what's possible with this technology."
Tony Hawk also reiterated previous hints from Robomodo by stating that he sees applications for RiDE's skateboard peripheral beyond this one skateboarding series. So, if RiDE does turn out to be the disappointment that US reviews are suggesting, then at least early adopters will be able to do more with their rather pricy board (£100 for the bundle) in future.
"[It's] up to Activision and myself as to what we do with this next and what kind of games we create," said Hawk. "I think that the first priority, beyond skateboarding, would be snowboarding because that would lend itself [to the board] a little bit easier [than other genres], and beyond that I'd love to do a surfing game. I always thought that Kelly Slater's [Pro Surfer] was an underrated title for the PlayStation 2. I thought that people didn't really give it the attention it deserved."
Why stop there, Tony? Robomodo could even release a new peripheral for a Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX remake.
On second thoughts, maybe that's not such a great idea.

ha ha TH better than skate. ask any skater what they think. if you don't like skate then you are just not co-ordinated enough and need someone to show you. once you get it there is no way ever anyone can say it isn't as good as TH. the freedom it allows is awesome
