Crystal Dynamics developing new Lara Croft game...
Square Enix has announced a new Tomb Raider game. Developed by Crystal Dynamics, the new title rewrites the Lara Croft back-story which apparently “charts the journey of an ordinary woman who finds out just how far she must go in order to stay alive.”.
A press release from Square Enix reveals some of the new story:
“After a brutal storm destroys the boat she was travelling on, a frightened young woman is left washed ashore on an unknown beach. On her own but not alone she has only one goal, to survive”,
"Forget everything you knew about Tomb Raider, we are exploring things that have never been done before in this game," said Darrell Gallagher, Head of Studio, Crystal Dynamics. "This is an origins story that creates Lara Croft and takes her on a character defining journey like no other."
No release date or other details have yet been revealed about the game. A solitary post on the official Tomb Raider Twitter account simply says,
“A survivor is born.....”

It's early days. I'm going to at least wait until some gameplay footage is released before I lay down any kind of judgement on the title. Still, I don't know where you're getting the "urban" theme from. It looks like precisely the opposite judging by what's been leaked so far.

Oh boy, this new TR sounds like history repeating itself. More urban running around and no mention if it's connected to the others.....flop like a jelly much?
