Reports suggest Burnout isn't the only franchise to be nabbed by EA...

Having turned down the chance to publish ‘TimeSplitters3’ earlier last year, it has today emerged that EA have picked up the publishing license right from under the nose of Eidos.

In a similar move to the ‘Burnout3’ agreement, although it should be noted that this has yet to officially materialise, it’s claimed that the multi-format first-person-shooter from Free Radical will form an important part in EA’s 2004 line-up.

"Free Radical has proven itself a world class studio by delivering consistently beautiful, exciting and incredibly fun games," said EA Partners Europe VP Frank Sagnier. "We are thrilled to be working with Free Radical and to be adding a new title to our growing catalogue of externally developed games."

Sadly specific details are unknown at present, however it’s expected the third title in the series will finally make the jump and offer online play.

We’ll have more on the situation and hopefully an official statement soon.
