EA officially announces worst-kept secret of the year thus far…

Having previously been reported back in January, EA today officially confirmed that it has picked up the publishing duties for TimeSplitters: Future Perfect from Eidos.

Currently in development at Free Radical and scheduled for release in 2005, the title marks the third videogame in the series that has gone on to shift over 2 million copies throughout the world.

"Choosing EA Partners as our publishing partner represents a big breakthrough for Free Radical," said Steve Ellis, Chairman of Free Radical Design. "We're already working hard on the next game, and hope that, with the help of EA Partners, we can reach many new players all over the world."

The press release makes no mention of a GameCube version, whilst itâ??s believed to be currently undecided as to whether the Xbox version will feature online support as with the PS2 version; weâ??ll have more information and the first screens soon.
