EA Announces Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf 10 alongside the usual list of improvements...

It'll be no huge surprise to most gamers that Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf 10 has been confirmed by EA, with the game preparing for its 12th round of golf since its inception in 1998.

As with last year, Tiger Woods 10 will be released on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, and PSP. Once again, the DS and PC have not been included in the list, so we can only assume that EA has withdrawn the series from those two platforms.

EA also announced the usual list of tweaks and improvements for the game, which will include larger crowds of fans, real-time weather effects on every course, and a television broadcast presentation style featuring a new commentary team of ESPN's Scott Van Pelt and the Golf Channel's Kelly Tilghman.

Tiger Woods 10 will also feature 2009's U.S. Open course, Bethpage State Park, as well as Scotland's Turnberry from this year's British Open. Both the U.S. Open and a U.S.G.A championship (featuring the tours specific rules) will also be included in the game as a first for the series.

"No player has elevated the game of golf more than Tiger Woods and we celebrate his return with a game that recreates the atmosphere of the PGA Tour like never before," said Executive Producer, Mike Taramykin. "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 continues the long-standing tradition of providing an authentic golf experience that is accessible to skilled and casual gamers alike."

Expect the usual late summer release for this year's title until EA tells us otherwise.

Nice piece of Guerrilla marketing there, although it might have been a little more stealthy if you hadn't called yourself "TomEAMobile".

Great review! The graphics are great in the Tiger Woods iPhone version too (you get it through iTunes). You're able to play as Tiger or against him - very cool.

Che[#@!?]r spelling - there's no suggestion of the PC in the original press release from EA.  We're not saying it definitely won't come to PC, all we're suggesting is that the press release made no mention of it!
