Midway announce that a sequel to The Suffering is currently in the works and planned for a Fall 2005 release...
In a move certain to upset certain quarters of the populace on both sides of the Atlantic (namely Neo-Cons and Daily Mail readers), Midway have today announced that they plan to release the sequel to last yearâ??s The Suffering in the Fall 2005. Gamers reprise the role of Torque as he treads the streets of Baltimore on the hunt for Blackmore, a man tied to the deaths of Torqueâ??s family.
Given the subtitle â??Ties That Bindâ?, the game is set to offer all new disturbing monsters, as well as resurrecting the morality system, as gamers will journey Torqueâ??s troubled past.
Announcing the title Alan Patmore, President, Surreal Software developers of the future release said, "The Suffering: Ties That Bind is a sequel that will surpass the original in every way, with more action, a darker storyline and plenty of disturbing and twisted creaturesâ?¦The terror expands outside of the prison walls as players' actions and moral choices are now tied to the new multi-levelled insanity mode, directly affecting the game's plot with each path providing an entirely different experience."
Weâ??ll have more on The Suffering: Ties That Bind shortly...
