No online activation or Spore DRM shambles when it comes to installing The Sims 3...

The Sims 3 DRM

Following the disastrous DRM debacle that surrounded the release of Spore, EA's Rod Humble has sent word that The Sims 3 will not feature any DRM or online activation techniques.

Instead the game will simply resort to disc-based copy protection and the time-honoured serial code, just like it used to be.

"We feel like this is a good, time-proven solution that makes it easy for you to play the game without DRM methods that feel overly invasive or leave you concerned about authorization server access in the distant future," claimed Humble.

The 'You May Like This' boxes are automatically generated by the site and are supposed to provide other options of games for readers to look at. The Sims 3 directory can be found above on the right hand side, where it clearly states that Sims 3 is only available on PC.
