Activision's statements clarified as Lionhead confirms full-steam ahead on console versions and PC expansion...

Yesterday's news of the decision by Activision not to publish the console versions of Lionhead's thoroughly unique PC sim, The Movies, came as a big disappointment amongst talk of further Spider-Man, Shrek and X-Men titles.

Console owners may however have some hope in the shape of a Lionhead statement, confirming that development still continues on the console adaptations despite Activision loosing faith in the franchise along with the previously rumoured PC expansion, though whether Activision will have any involvement in this remains unknown.

So The Movies looks likely to be given its second lease of life, just please go out and try it this time...
