The latest Live Event in The Matrix MMORPG sees the death of Morpheus...
In a statement on the official Matrix Online site, itâ??s been revealed that Morpheus, played by Lawrence Fishbourne in both the games and the movies, has been killed by a character known as the Assassin. The news is the latest twist in the ongoing MMORPG, which has seen Matrix Megacity previously infiltrated by vampires.
Following Morpheusâ?? bombing rampage that threatened the matrix itself, the Assassin was ordered to track and destroy the captain of the Nebuchadnezzar, which it succeeded in doing by firing a hail of bullets at the Zion hero. According to the statement on the site, â??â?¦the Assassin fantastically flowed through a small vent directly in front of Morpheus. Somehow, the Assassin could bend the rules of the Matrix,â? the turn of events is sure to raise many questions amongst fans of the RPG.
