Turbine confirms that the Tolkien-based MMO has entered a new stage of development...
Turbine has today confirmed that Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, has reached the Alpha stage of its development. The game, which is set in the land of Eriador in Middle-Earth, has already seen over 125,000 people sign up to take part in the Beta test - so today's news brings them closer to experiencing the world created by the Massachusetts- based studio.
"Turbine is committed to delivering the most immersive and accurate online Tolkien experience possible and today is a major milestone as we realize our vision for this mysterious and exciting world," said Jeffrey Anderson, president and CEO of Turbine, Inc. "With over 125,000 fans already signed up for the Beta Program we are on pace to be one of the largest beta communities in the industry."
