Final Day: Beta Code Giveaway The Lord Of The Rings Online News

It's the final day of our Lord of the Rings Online giveaway and we've got 40 codes for you to jump online and sample the new free-to-play service.  The good folks at Turbine and Codemasters have provided us with 5000 in-game points to use for each beta-code, so if you join the experience make sure to e-mail us with the code you used and we'll send you a token to fill your virtual wallet with 5000 points.

In case you didn't already know, Codemasters' Lord of the Rings Online is moving to a free-to-play model this autumn. Before that happens though, Codemasters has setup a closed beta for the new free-to-play model that we just happen to have 100 codes for.

We'll be giving away 20 codes each day this week and posting them via the TVG news feed on a first-come-first-served basis. All you need to do is create a Turbine account (if you don't have one already), insert your beta code through this web portal, and then download the free-to-play client through here.

Once you've done all of that, you'll get unparalleled beta access to LOTRO's new free-to-play features before they go public later this year.

We do ask one thing in return though: If you could let us know which code you've successfully used to access the beta by posting it in the comments board below, then we'll update the article and strikethrough any of the used codes so that other users don't get frustrated. Alternatively, if you do come across a dead code, then post it in the comments and we'll make sure it gets deleted.
