Codemasters launch the Founder Program, offering discounted monthly subscription or 'Lifetime Membership'...
Codemasters has today revealed a 'Founder Program' for the upcoming MMO, Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. The program, aimed specifically at pre-orders, offers two different ways to pay, a monthly subscription of £5.99, or a Lifetime Membership of £99.99.
Founders will also get a ten-day head start with the game before its release, a special in-game item, and six Lord of the Rings Online stickers.
"It's exciting to announce the release date for what is going to be one of the top PC releases of the year," said David Solari, Vice President and General Manager of Codemasters Online Gaming "The Founder's Program offers gamers some amazing benefits when choosing how to start their adventure in this landmark title. April is going to be the month when everyone moves to Middle-earth!"
News of the program comes as the UK-based publisher announced a European release date of April 24th 2007 for the game, which has been developed by US MMO studio, Turbine. Codemasters has confirmed that a subscription rate for gamers who don't pre-order the game is currently being worked on.
