EA confirms a late January launch date for Pandemic's Middle-Earth action title...
Electronic Arts has today revealed that The Lord of the Rings: Conquest, developed at Pandemic Studios, will launch on January 9th 2009 outside of the United States. American gamers won't have long to wait however - Conquest will see a release on January 13th.
Once again returning gamers to Middle-Earth, Conquest gives players the chance to either save or conquer the Free Peoples of Tolkien's world.
"We have been working hard to create a 'The Lords of the Rings' experience like no other," says Andrew Goldman, Pandemic Studios co-founder and general manager. "And we are excited to finally confirm the launch of The Lord of the Rings: Conquest to 'The Lord of the Rings' and Star Wars Battlefront fans alike."
"Players will finally be able to fight through Middle-earth along the frontlines of good or evil," says Josh Resnick, co-founder and general manager at Pandemic Studios. "And what 'The Lord of the Rings' fan hasn't fantasized about joining Sauron's army to slay Hobbits?"
The Lord of the Rings: Conquest will launch on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Nintendo DS.

CAN EVERYBODY PUT A SOCK IN IT!!! Conquest is awesome. Lotr fans will love it and so will many others.The only reason you hate Conquestis is because you play your fancy $600 graphic extravagenzas which seem like more virtual life simulaters with violence then real RPG's. You are all looking at graphics, sound, charecter models instead of whats the real meaning of video games, FUN. Did you see the people playing Space Invaders complain about the graphics? I dont think so!!

The visuals are muddy, the textures and bland, the character models look barely PS2 quality...
The gameplay is dull, repetitive, far from epic, and just plain hideous...and Howard Shore's incredible music is just about the only thing that's good about Conquest.

All LOTR fans will absolutly love this game. Scenarios are beautifull, animations are greatly done, and the game is pure entrertaning.
