Miyamoto Confirms New Zelda In Pipeline News
Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto confirms the Zelda team are reforming to work on a new title...

Speaking to 1UP in the build up to the North American release and final leg of Wii Fit (expect plenty of coverage in the next week), Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed that the Zelda team are reforming to work on a new title although it's not yet known which format this will appear on.
Defending the continued doubts over Nintendo's apparent abandonment of its traditional audience (it's really not that bad Ninty fans, Wii Fit is a lot of fun), Miyamoto-san claims, "Of course, that being said, we do have the existing teams at Nintendo working on the kinds of products we've always made over the years. The Zelda team is forming again to work on new games! But to me, it's about finding these new interactive experiences and bringing them to people."
Of which, Miyamaoto illustrated his hands-on role in helping to bring the Wii vision to Nintendo developers:
"It's a different way of designing than people are accustomed to. So in order to resolve a lot of that uneasiness and help the team feel more confident, I unfortunately needed to take a lead role and stand at the forefront of that process and help them realize that it really is OK to start from scratch and build from there."
So for now it seems the man behind Zelda and Mario is keen to work on pastures new, developing brains and fitness across the world, whilst the fate of Mario, Link, and co, rests in other hands it seems.

The atmosphere certainly creates a subtle notion that this would be one of the greater zelda games.

What gives zelda its quality is the story! An original story is what gives it its standard

Twilight Princess was too easy. Make this one HARD. I don't like flying through my games >_< I can't thoroughly enjoy them whenever that happens.

The artwork in this new Zelda game makes it look very promising. Miyamoto said that they're making Zelda complete different from the traditional, but that doesn't mean it won't be good. Look at Wind Waker--the cel-shading repeled many people, but the game itself was highly underestimated.
Don't judge this book by its cover. Remember this very important rule ^_^
However, I'm still lowering my expectations, just in case...
New Zelda, please be at least half as good as the earlier games... It would be lovely.
And now that I'm done ranting...

The problem with TP was that it made you finish EVERYTHING, except for a couple boring mi[#@!?]mes and bug-catching. Great games are a little more about the extra stuff and sidequests than the main story, and that's one thing that Twilight Princess didn't do. Plus, Ganondorf was the only Gerudo in the game, and maybe one character that was indirectly a Sheikah, but that was far from enough.
Plus, there was little to no magic. They made it too realistic. What happened to the magic lamp of alttp? The Master Sword's magic quality? The magical arrows?
OoT was a very good game, but you can't forget about Majora's Mask, which was heavy on fantasy (yipee!) or Link's Awakening (too unappreciated). Alttp has more than enough potential to be remade, plus Link's Adventure and Zelda 1 could be 3-D masterpieces...

Why, when you can just download it on Virtua Console. Let the legend lie, and give us something new.
Do artists feel the need to classics?
Damien Hirst redoes Picasso?

I'm tired of the OoT formula and hope to see a return of the LA, and Oracle styles of dungeons, etc. TP used cel-shading too, and still appealed to non-WW fans, so that should be implemented (with that awesome bloom and effects detail). i don't want an adult Link or even a young Link, but one more like those in ALttP and Zeldas 1&2.
Roc's feather or cape, the Staffs/Rods, and Magic Cape deserve a 3D rendition. Even the Seed Shooter could add to the puzzles!
