Nintendo announces the delay of Twilight Princess until 2006...
With the launch of Xbox 360 at the end of this year it seemed that Nintendoâ??s ace card in the pack would be the return of Link in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which had been pencilled in for a â??Winter 2005â?? release. However Nintendo has today made a sudden announcement that the highly anticipated GameCube title (currently sitting in the number 8 spot on the TVG Userâ??s Most Anticipated List) will be now be globally released during an unspecified period in 2006â?¦
With big name GameCube titles drying up faster than a bucket of water in the Sahara, this delay will come as a massive blow to Nintendo â?“ and the fans. In the statement, Nintendo citied the reason for the delay was down to the desire to add further unspecified elements to Twilight Princess and further enhance the game, which at the very least is re-assuring to hear that Nintendo will take such action to make sure a game is as good as it can possibly be.
The complete statement is as follows:
â?Our development team has decided to take extra time to add some incredible new elements to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. As a result, the game will now launch in 2006 globally. We recognize there may be some disappointed fans, however we firmly believe this additional time will result in a much more enjoyable gaming experience. GameCube fans will have a variety of Nintendo games to choose from this Christmas, including Mario Smash Football, Battalion Wars, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.â?
With the window of opportunity to distract from the Xbox 360 launch now lost, Nintendo may be now be aiming for a release date during â??Spring 2006â?? and the launch of PlayStation3 instead, especially as speculation on Revolution and its mysterious controller continues unabated.

This is a great game, I have most Zelda games, and enjoy playing them all, even windwaker(Its a good game if you give it a chance).

This is a great one, Windwaker disappointed me but this one was a hit. I think its more to do with the graphics than anything else. This was enjoyable and entertaining. Im currently on my 3rd round of completing it.

I'm having trouble getting going with this game. I've ridden the horse and rounded up the goats. It's now the 2nd day and I've gone to the village. I can't seem to do anything tho! - except get stung by bees! and I have only half a heart left! - I can't get the bees down - I can't catch the cat - I can't clinm the rock to get the cradle What am I missing? Help appreciated.
