No GameCube Zelda on Japanese shop stores as the lengthy death of the console continues...

If ever there's been a race between Microsoft and Nintendo, it's about which can drop support for their current-gen consoles the quickest. The death knells for both GameCube and the original Xbox have been ringing in our ears for many months now, but the latest news from Japan seems to suggest that the Grim Reaper has played his last on the purple box.

Speaking at their latest conference in Japan, and reported by North America's 1Up, Nintendo has announced that the GameCube version of The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess will only be available in the Far Eastern territory via its online store. It's a final act of ignominy for the GameCube, which has had something of a troubled and under-rated life, especially as it's become totally eclipsed by anticipation for Wii over the past year.

A similar move is highly unlikely in the West however, not least because of the lack of an online Nintendo store in Europe, and the limited e-store presence in North America. That said, it's not the first time that Nintendo has followed such a strategy - Nintendo DS' Electroplankton was also limited to online purchase in certain territories. Speaking to TVG, a Nintendo representative confirmed that an 'online only' release strategy would be unlikely in the UK.

We'll have more news shortly...

This is a great one, Windwaker disappointed me but this one was a hit. I think its more to do with the graphics than anything else. This was enjoyable and entertaining. Im currently on my 3rd round of completing it.

I can't seem to do anything tho! - except get stung by bees! and I have only half a heart left! - I can't get the bees down - I can't catch the cat - I can't clinm the rock to get the cradle What am I missing? Help appreciated.
