A Japanese trademark suggests Nintendo could be on the verge of a new IP...
It's not often that Nintendo gets caught down the trademark office; however, a new registration suggests that the publisher could be gearing up towards a new franchise.
Siliconera spotted a recent application under the title of 'The Last Story'. As the article points out, the interesting thing is that the title is registered in both Japanese and English, which Siliconera suggests is indicative of it having a worldwide release.
Other then that we know nothing, nada, nilch... But surely even Nintendo wouldn't attempt to launch something to appease the hardcore on Wii?
