BBC Teases About Sony's Mystery Game News

A BBC correspondent who previously talked about Sony's "mystery game" has confirmed that the title wasn't demonstrated at last week's E3 event, much to his own surprise.

In a recent BBC blog, Darren Waters claims, "It still hasn't been shown publicly."

A previous report from Waters had stated: "If the footage I was shown truly is 'in game', as told to me by the Sony PR people, then we could be on the brink of a step change in what games consoles are capable of in terms of story-telling and immersion."

TVG has been keeping a close ear to the ground following the earlier revelations, and have reason to believe the BBC is referring to the next title to come from Team Ico.

Although we're not privy to any sneak peeks or further details, whispers have suggested the game will provide a landmark occasional in videogames. If Ico or Shadow of the Colossus are anything to go by, we can probably expect an emotion-fuelled romp that will once again blur the boundaries between art and videogames.

Perhaps it could have stolen some of the thunder back from loosing Final Fantasy XIII.
