After trashing one of the 500 Ferrari Enzo's throughout the world, US reports suggest Eriksson has now lost a Mercedes SLR...

It's far too easy to snigger at another man's misfortunes; firstly the former Gizmondo executive totals a priceless Ferrari Enzo in rather dubious circumstances, and now it seems he can strike another exotic motor from his list.

A tip-off from Scotland Yard alerted Beverly Hills police to Eriksson's £300,000 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, reportedly being driven by his wife without a driving license on Sunday afternoon.

Initial reports suggest that the vehicle was not registered to drive in the United States, but more worrying for Eriksson at least is the claim from Scotland Yard that the exotic vehicle is possibly listed as stolen.

The LA Times suggests that an unidentified financial institution is claiming ownership of the Mercedes, whilst a financial institution in Scotland says it owns the Ferrari Enzo that seemed to go through a few laps of Burnout in last months crash. Alternative sources indicate that Eriksson initially had three exotic vehicles under his wing (2 Enzo's 1 Mercedes SLR), all of which were in the process of repossession from debts owed to The Bank of Scotland.

Speaking to Los Angeles County Sheriff Sgt. Phil Brooks, The LA Times further suggests that all of the vehicles were brought into the United States purely as show cars, under the strict assurance that they wouldn't be driven on the street.

Not being accustomed to the ownership of such exotic vehicles at TVG we wouldn't like to comment on the mysterious situation surrounding Eriksson and his motors, however surely playing it up for the cameras perhaps isn't the best of ideas.

You can't help but feel a little sympathy for the guy however...
