If you haven’t picked up a GameCube, shame on you, but there’s still time to redeem yourself...
In keeping with its bundle policy, Nintendo today confirmed plans to mark the eagerly anticipated European launch of Resident Evil 4, with an exclusive GameCube package.
Releasing alongside the game on March 18th 2005 for the unbelievable price of £89, the bundle consists of a Limited Edition Platinum and Black Resident Evil 4 branded GameCube, a copy of the game and a special bonus-disc featuring Making-Of footage, along with movies of Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 4 and a playable demo of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes â?“ however if itâ??s anything like the Japanese release it could also contain footage of the mythical Resident Evil 3.5!!!
We recently came away gob-smacked by what Capcom have done; literally taking the series and twisting it on its head with the release of Resident Evil 4, marking the finest title in the venerable series to-date and also ensuring the survival/horror genre has well and truly evolved.
Certainly this offer gives little reason for anybody not to pick up a GameCube for the simple delights of Resident Evil 4, and whilst youâ??re at it why not sample the other pleasures of the Cube, such as The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Metroid Prime 1&2, Animal Crossing â?“ we could go on and on, but I think you get the picture...
