Could Rare's second Xbox Live Arcade title be a collection of Xbox Live Vision mini-games...
Leaked information picked up by Xbox360 Fanboy has recently alluded to the secret Xbox Live Arcade title that UK development supremos Rare are believed to be working on.
Dubbed The Fast and the Furriest, Xbox360 Fanboy suggests that the game will be a collection of mini-game sporting events, no doubt designed to try and appeal beyond Microsoft's uber-hardcore demographic. Sounding suspiciously like Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, Rare fans can look forward to taking the likes of Banjo and Conker through events such as the 100m Dash, Bungee Running and Hurdles, with the suggestion that more will become available via the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Further information alleges that the game will feature Xbox Live Vision support, allowing players to wave and gesticulate until the cows come home, although Xbox360 Fanboy maintains that the traditional joypad will still feature.
Understanding that we'd receive little beyond "no comment" from an official source on the matter TVG duly contacted Rare for a response, and in true fashion they didn't disappoint:
A) No comment. B) You've got another thing coming if you reckon Rare is about to get dragged into futile speculation. C) Or you can use this pre-approved line from Microsoft: "No comment on rumour or speculation".

How long will it take MS to admit they have no appeal beyond the FPS fanatic?

Rare will have to be at their best to make it worthwhile if it is the case. Body gesture games really haven't worked in the past: "When I'm Cleaning Windows" kept me entertained for 5 mins on EyeToy; AntiGrav was just a horrible mess that gave you neckache, and I'm not particularlly fussed about working out with the Kinetic series. Truth is I the technology at work still isn't advanced enough to facilitate anything decent, you really need true 3D spacial awareness technology for it to work. Hence why Nintendo uses the Wii Remote - and I've still yet to see anything pushing the boundaries with that, yet!
