An apparent PAL release schedule suggests Bizarre's shooter is shying away from the Q4 battle...

Despite a recent Studio Update proclaiming that Bizarre Creation's The Club has achieved Beta status and is currently undergoing the final stages of polish and balancing, an alleged SEGA release schedule has been doing the round suggesting that the high-paced shooter could slip into Q1 2008.

Originally scheduled for release during 2007, the schedule now indicates that this has been pushed into Winter 07/08, whilst the latest official press releases are marked with a TBC. Such a decision would likely be due to SEGA not wanting the title to be overlooked in a heavily congested Christmas period that already includes the likes of GTA IV, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Half Life 2 Orange, Mass Effect, PGR4, Assassin's Creed and many others fighting for the coveted No.1 spot.

When asked to comment on the release schedule a SEGA representative responded with "no comment"; hopefully, if the slip does prove to be true, Bizarre Creations can get a demo out in time to wet everybody's appetite in time for the New Year.

It's a great game and it really annoys me that people didnt get it, and it hasnt sold as well as it should have. How should SEGA and Bizarre have pitched this; do you think it's the end for The Club?

This game is awesome, what you talking about. It's a skill-test to the max, it's a game for good gamers. Voice acting isn't even a thing for The Club, that's not this type of game. The Club is like an arcade title from years gone by - think Crazy Taxi (can't remember the story or voice acting being too good in that, but it was a blast to play). As for the constrols, well there I just disagree with you completely. They're smooth, responsive, and the run works brilliantly. I get the feeling tikicobra you just need a little more practise to discover the true beauty of The Club!

There;s no way! How is this gma egetting good reviews? It sucks! The AI is awful, the weapons aren't fun to use, the controls are bad, the voice acting is even worse. The only good thing is that it's got good graphics and runs when you put it in your console!

Probably a smart move, I mean who wants to go against Halo 3?
