Rumour has it that The Beatles: Rock Band may support multiple microphones for vocal harmonies...
We thought this might happen. No sooner have the first details of The Beatles: Rock Band's peripherals been exposed than the rumour mill starts grinding away wildly, with the first portion of dubious grist being multiple microphone support for the title.
According to Destructoid, this rumour appears in the latest issue of Game Informer, which explains that this support for multiple microphones will allow gamers to perform vocal harmonies with each other, just the way John, Paul, George, and Ringo would've wanted it/do want it.
On the plausibility scale, we're going to place this rumour in the 'Unlikely' section until more evidence suggests otherwise, although further hearsay from the report does appear to be a touch more believable.
The Rock Band franchise is apparently preparing to make a move into user-created content, which would make sense given that it's already in Guitar Hero World Tour and Harmonix has spoken about its possibilities in the past.

why dont they bring out a heavy metal rock band game, sure rock band 1 and 2 both have fairly heavy songs in them but no dark, goth, thrash, nu metal. come on harmonix takse us to the dark side of rock.

No details on that as yet. The Abbey Road DLC is due to come shortly after release though, so it obviously won't be integral to the boxed copy's career mode. It might have added story elements or something, but we'll have to wait for more info on that.

I think that for a full priced game, the song list is a little short. I love all the songs that Harmonix has chosen for the game, but only 45 songs can't really explain the whole career of The Beatles.
(One question, Will the downloadable content be usable in hte Story/Career mode of The Beatles; Rock Band?)

INSTANT BUY. Been waiting my whole life to be like The Beatles. I hope this inspires me to pick up my guitar and play it again. Can't wait to rock out as the Beatles, the greatest band EVAR! Beatles Forever, rock will never die. Gotta keep this good feeling going!!!!
