According to a product e-mail from US retailer GameStop, The Beatles: Rock Band will include a drum kit and bass guitar that mirror the tastes and brand preferences of the Fab Four, as well as "additional special content" and a microphone complete with stand.
Kotaku is reporting that the guitar peripheral in The Beatles: Rock Band's Limited Edition Premium Bundle will be a Höfner branded bass controller, while the drum kit will be based on Ludwig designs with a classic pearl finish, vintage replica drumhead, and a metal kick pedal (sounds plush).
The game's microphone will come erected on a stylish stand, which will be a first for the music rhythm game peripheral explosion, and GameStop is listing "additional special content" for the Premium Bundle as well.
Although this all-in-one bundle, which includes the game itself, has been given an RRP of $249.99 in the US, we are still awaiting a pricing for the European market at this stage. By the sound of these latest product details though, it's going to be painfully expensive.

why dont they bring out a heavy metal rock band game, sure rock band 1 and 2 both have fairly heavy songs in them but no dark, goth, thrash, nu metal. come on harmonix takse us to the dark side of rock.

No details on that as yet. The Abbey Road DLC is due to come shortly after release though, so it obviously won't be integral to the boxed copy's career mode. It might have added story elements or something, but we'll have to wait for more info on that.

I think that for a full priced game, the song list is a little short. I love all the songs that Harmonix has chosen for the game, but only 45 songs can't really explain the whole career of The Beatles.
(One question, Will the downloadable content be usable in hte Story/Career mode of The Beatles; Rock Band?)
