Atari Reveals First Downloadable Content For Test Drive News

The 'Pure Power 2' set of cars includes seven supercars for 350 Microsoft Points...

Atari has today confirmed that the first set of Downloadable Content for their Hawaii-based MOOR, Test Drive Unlimited, is now available for 350 Microsoft Points (£2.97).

Featuring seven new supercars, including the 25th anniversary edition of the Lamborghini Countach and Chevrolet Corvette C1 1957 Hardtop (the latter will be free for all gamers to download), the content has been christened "Pure Power 2" after the top US-based Car Club in the game to November 7th. Atari is yet to confirm whether the content will be re-christened in honour of the top European-based Car Club...

"With Test Drive Unlimited, Atari continues to offer consumers more - massively open online racing, more than three hundred hours of single-player gameplay, and more vehicles," said Nique Fajors, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Atari, Inc. "With this first downloadable set, users can purchase seven incredibly sought-after vehicles and, most importantly, continue their offline and online racing pursuits."

Atari promises that new downloadable content for the game will be released on a monthly basis, each named after the top US Club at the time - so let's just hope that next month Pure Power 2 aren't sitting at the top, because that could get confusing.

Today's announcement comes just days after an update to the racer was released, enabling full trade functionality and a host of other fixes.

	By: Anonymous Added:Wed 21st Jan 2009 03:20, Post No: 152 oh and just a short message to anyone with problems connecting to the tdu servers, theres nothing wrong with them what you need to do is get a better/faster broadband connection with an upload speed arround 1mb or higher and youll have less problems playing the game online. i use virginmedia on there 20mb service and have 0.1% bad connection and 99.9% good connection to the tdu servers so try upgrading from sky broadbands free broadband service as its way to slow in fact try switching from bt to cable its way faster.
