Microsoft confirms the European release of Project Sylpheed, Tenchu Z, and Vampire Rain next month...

The summer period has traditionally been the quiet period for videogames, the calm before the inevitable storm of autumn and the holiday season. Whole weeks can be bereft of releases, but it seems that Microsoft are trying to do their best next month with a triple-bill of titles heading to European Xbox 360s.

Each of the three games, Project Sylpheed, Tenchu Z, and Vampire Rain, have been released in Japan and were developed by Japanese studios, and there's little doubt that Microsoft (along with publisher's AQ and Square-Enix) sees the summer as an ideal opportunity for European gamers to get their mitts on new titles during the dry season. The run in to Christmas is certainly looking congested with high-profile titles as it is, so it's no surprise that the publisher is looking to shoe horn this trio of titles in where it can.

"With an ever-growing selection of Xbox 360 titles that covers a wide spectrum of game genres, we are pleased to expand our range further, offering our first Ninja game Tenchu Z, Square Enix's Project Sylpheed and some of the most dangerous enemies yet faced - the Nightwalkers, in Vampire Rain," said Richard Teversham, European director of Marketing and Platform, Xbox.

The three titles are due for release on June 29th.

Great news, three wholly average Japanese games for the 360! And who the f*ck says "mitts" these days? Don't they teach you chaps not to use cliches at writing school?
