Digital content creation company, PCB Productions, reveals that it's working on Syphon Filter 5 and SOCOM 4...

Syphon Filter 5 and SOCOM 4 are currently in development for Sony's PS3 according to digital content creation company, PCB Productions, which is listing both games amongst its "Production Hit List".

PCB Productions, which specialises in producing a range of content for games such as dialogue production and music scoring, is seemingly involved in mo-cap work for SOCOM 4 and Syphon Filter 5.

The company is listing SOCOM 4 as "in development" for PS3, while Syphon Filter 5 is also listed for PS3 and is seemingly underway at Sony's Bend Studio. The existence of a PS3 Syphon Filter title at Sony Bend seemed likely following the emergence of a job posting earlier in the year.

Thanks, PlayStationLifeStyle.net.

UPDATE: Since we went to press with this article, PCB Productions has replied to an inquiry from CVG regarding the listings and has referred to them as "errors".

"I apologize for the confusion. There appears to be some errors on our credits," a spokesperson commented.

"Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror was recorded a few years back with Image Metrics," they continued. "We recently worked on Socom FTB 3 for the PSP."

Still, given the prior evidence that points to the existence of a PS3 Syphon Filter game, we're not entirely convinced that Sony Bend Studio isn't working on one, although it looks like PCB Productions probably isn't involved.

Syphon Filter surely has to be coming to PS3 - the two PSP titles have been really solid experiences, and it would be great to see Gabe and the team do the biz on PlayStation 3...
