Capcom US Vice President of Strategy confirms that the long awaited update is due for Thanksgiving, certification permitting...
Originally due before Christmas...2007, Capcom looks set to finally launch Super Street Fighter II HD Remix onto Xbox Live and PlayStation Network before the end of November.
News of the impending release, scheduled to arrive around the US' Thanksgiving holiday, comes via Capcom's community 'Capcom Unity' website, where Christian Svensson, Capcom US Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development, confirmed the nearing launch on the forums.
Svensson also hasn't ruled out a non-simultaneous launch on both digital platforms if it crawls through certification with either Microsoft or Sony.
Remix isn't the only Street Fighter with a narrowed down release period – the publisher has revealed at its Fighting Festival that the console edition of Street Fighter IV will arrive in Japan during February. There's no word on when we can expect the latest instalment here in the west.

every day im getting tempted to sell my smegbox 3sh***y m$ does nothing for xbox live gold its just a way for them to make even more money (its like the UK's stelth tax, you pay it but it does nothing but go in m$ pockets).
sonys done it right, right from the start. none of this pay to play online rubbish and m$ wont ever make xbox live free so they can go shove there stupid xbox in the trash im getting rid and getting a ps3 m$ can go jump.

Love the way it says anonymous coward :) Great to see fanboys posting really funny comments, great sense of humour guys, HA HA HA. Just to set you straight I have a 360 and a PS3 they both have their merits but im just annoyed because my xbox membership ran out after spending 20 mins trying to cancel my account and"unlink" my credit card from renewing automatically. XBL is overpriced and its not like microsoft need the extra $, PSN is free, I wasnt fussed about membership to XBL because in all honestly, I wanted it on PS3, yes fanboys you heard me right PS3, and why? you may ask. Because the pad is better for old school beat em ups, thats it, the pad. But now im annoyed because I either 1. Wait for the release of the PS3 version, or 2. Get some XBL and buy the XB360 version.
