Over a million copies sold in just eleven days throughout Japan...
Gamers around the world rejoice, Nintendo's latest Wii title has passed a million copies in Japan, and it's not Brain Training, Wii Play, or anything to do with dogs.
Amidst talks of shortages Nintendo today announced that the latest title in the popular Smash Bros series has notched up a million sales since launching across Japan only eleven days ago.
The success makes Super Smash Bros Brawl! the fastest Wii title to achieve a million sales, eclipsing the two most popular titles in Wii Fit and Wii Sports, which took seven and eleven weeks respectively.
Thankfully this suggests that the slightly more traditional videogame still has a place in Nintendo's future thinking, at a time when the publisher admitted that sales of its core titles haven't met expectations in the past and have largely been ignored in contrast to the unstoppable success of some of Nintendo's new casual titles.
Unfortunately for us, Nintendo has still yet to decide when Brawl! will actually make it to Europe, but with a similar success expected for the game's North American release in March, we imagine there's still a little wait yet.

I am also wondering about that flavour of the day thing, can you have custom stages sent to your Wii in Europe? Because I can't find that button you're talking about...

Have you checked the custom stages section for the "flavor of the day"? I know downloaded stages go there so they might as well?
