Nintendo's latest US release schedule reveals a further delay for SSBB - Mario Kart Wii still on track...
Following a year of meteoric sales for Nintendo consoles, the games giant has unveiled a release schedule for the first half of 2008 in America that reveals a bumper harvest of new game releases for the DS and Wii.
In-between the jungle of casual titles for the systems were updates on Nintendo's flagship games, including a further delay for Super Smash Bros Brawl in the US until March 9th, from the previous (already delayed) date of February 10th. Nintendo failed to even mention the title in their most recent European schedule for the first half of 2008, so further US delays will only cause more concern for European fans.
Mario Kart Wii's American release date of spring 2008 re-affirms the Q2 date for Europe, while Wii Fit's expected Q2 US arrival is also encouraging for Europe following the game's December 1st Japanese release.
Other points of interest on the US release schedule include two as yet unheard of titles. EA's Catch of the Day is set for release on DS and Wii in June and, judging by the name, we're expecting a genre straddling game which encapsulates both SEGA Bass Fishing and Nintendo's Cooking Mama.
Ubisoft's Emergency Heroes (a March release in the US on Wii) is also new to us and presumably includes an unlikely band of heroes, who're waiting in the wings and have part-time jobs as electricians. Just kidding... It's much more likely to have you playing as firemen and paramedics etc.

I am also wondering about that flavour of the day thing, can you have custom stages sent to your Wii in Europe? Because I can't find that button you're talking about...

Have you checked the custom stages section for the "flavor of the day"? I know downloaded stages go there so they might as well?
