Shigeru Miyamoto confirms that Mario’s next instalment is still planned for the GameCube; just please give it to us Nintendo...

Despite seeming as though Mario 128 had well and truly been put to bed until the launch of the Nintendo Revolution, Shigeru Miyamoto has once again muddied the waters by stating in the latest issue of Famitsu that ther eagerly awaited title is still on for the GameCube.

Naturally thatâ??s about as far as details went, as all eyes turn towards E3 for a hopeful official announcement and unveiling of the title; however weâ??ve lost count the number of times weâ??ve expected Mario to show his moustache and got camera-shy at the last minute, so we wonâ??t be holding our breath.

In addition, Miyamoto-san confirmed that a new Pokemon title is currently being planned for the GameCube, with the assistance of a little-known Japanese developer.

Weâ??ll have more details soon.
