New trailers, screens, characters and control information released...
Capcom has released a ton of new info about hotly anticipated crossover beat-em-up Street Fighter X Tekken. The game will feature characters from both series’ battling it out in tag team matches based on the Street Fighter IV engine, and is due for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2012.
Dozens of characters are planned for inclusion in the game. So far, Ryu, Ken, Guile, Able, and Chun-Li from Street Fighter have been announced, as well as Kazuya, Nina, King, Marduk, and Bob from Tekken, but many more will be revealed in the coming months.
It will be possible to pair any two characters together and tag between them in real-time during battle. Tekken characters have been reworked for six button control, but a four button option has also been included, and many classic combos from the series are retained. Namco is also developing its own distinct Tekken X Street Fighter game, although little has been announced about the project so far.
