Rumour has it that two new fighting game collaborations are inbound from Capcom and Namco Bandai...
Japanese publishers Capcom and Namco Bandai could be set to reveal two separate fighting game collaborations at this weekend's Comic-Con in the US if online rumour is anything to go by.
Game Informer has it that Namco Bandai will reveal a 'Namco vs. Capcom' fighter using the Tekken 6 engine, while Capcom will announce a 'Capcom vs. Namco' title that will use the Street Fighter IV engine. Fittingly, Yoshinori Ono (SFIV's Producer) is allegedly heading-up development on the Capcom project, while Tekken's Katsuhiro Harada will spearhead the Namco project.
Ono-san has been hinting towards an incoming announcement recently, which adds a bit of credence to these rumours, but then Ono-san's always hinting towards something in all honesty (as much as we love him for it). In addition to this, it's not as if Capcom hasn't gone down precisely this path before with the Capcom vs. SNK games.
Keeping all of this in mind, we're going to brand these rumours as 'quite likely' and will keep our ears pricked towards the San Diego Comic-Con for more details...
