The Blizzard Shuffle News

By Chris Leyton on 03/08/2006

Members from the console team reassigned to other projects spells official cancellation of StarCraft: Ghost...

Masters of titillation, Blizzard Entertainment, today sent out word of its intention to strengthen current development efforts, by refocusing members of its console team onto other projects.

Blizzard once again mentions the "several unannounced titles" in addition to the forthcoming WoW expansion, The Burning Crusade, which undoubtedly reignites the speculation surrounding the possibility of titles such as Diablo III and StarCraft II.

"By redeploying key talent onto projects that are currently in development, we will greatly improve our ability to deliver multiple high-quality games in the years ahead," said Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We feel that this is an important step to take toward achieving our long-term development goals while also ensuring that our future games meet the expectations of our players and our employees."

Whether or not this spells official cancellation of StarCraft: Ghost on the consoles remains to be seen, however, TVG wouldn't advise holding out too much hope for Nova's long delayed appearance.

Good..Starcraft:Ghost on the next-gen is just something i thought they would do.. since it's delayed so many times before, might as well make a next-gen version; a version that will last for many years just like its RTS version on pc.. "With smart deicision comes an expected exciting game.."
