Nintendo release further details on the GameCube device that allows you to play GameBoy games at home.

Nintendo today released further details on the GameCube Gameboy Player, the device that allows GameBoy titles to be played at home on the big-screen via the GameCube.

In a move that seemingly furthers Nintendo’s ‘kiddie’ image, the peripheral will come equipped with a Timer function, that allows parents to restrict how long the children can play with it for.

Similar to the Super GameBoy device that was released for the SNES, an options menu can be accessed by pressing the Z-Button; this allows players to change the borders on the screen, remove them entirely stretching the image to fit the TV screen and finally adjust the Timer function that we mentioned previously.

In keeping with GameBoy tradition, the peripheral will have no territorial lockout, so GameBoy, GameBoy Colour and GameBoy Advance games from all countries will work on the device.

Nintendo of Europe has yet to release specific details regarding the release date and pricing of the peripheral, however we’re expecting a summer release for around £50.
Good..Starcraft:Ghost on the next-gen is just something i thought they would do.. since it's delayed so many times before, might as well make a next-gen version; a version that will last for many years just like its RTS version on pc.. "With smart deicision comes an expected exciting game.."
