Blizzard Entertainment reveal plans to hold a Worldwide Invitational event in the French capital in the summer...

Paris is to become the centre of the three Blizzard universes this June as Blizzard Entertainment today announced their fourth Worldwide Invitational event, the first to held in Europe.

Set to feature invitational tournaments in StarCraft, Warcraft III, and World in Warcraft, together with playable sessions of StarCraft II and WoW: Wrath of the Lich King, developer signings, and a 'silent auction', the event is sure to be swamped with Blizzard fans and CosPlay addicts alike.

Tickets for the event, which takes place on June 28th/29th, will go on sale in the next few weeks for £55 at the official 2008 Blizzard Worldwide Invitiational website.

"We look forward to bringing the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational to Europe for the first time and sharing our latest news with players there," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "In addition to the great tournament gaming that will be taking place at the event, we're planning an entertaining show for all attendees."

Last year's invitational, which was held in the South Korean capital of Seoul, saw StarCraft II unveiled to the world, so don't be too surprised if the developer springs additional details in Paris - perhaps a release date for the long awaited sequel...or even that much rumoured 'World of StarCraft' MMO???

good luck to anyone planning on cheating any where on this game, if caught youll get not only banned from online play but banned from playing the game full stop, Blizzard takes cheating very seriously (i just wish microsoft would implement a punk buster into xbox live to stop the cheating scum on XBL (and do somthing to the firmware to stop people from obtaining people's IP addresses (and yes it can be done, just look on youtube for 360 hacks).

SC2 Mastery Guide Hits the Market

There are a lot of guides on the market that all promise to offer an array of different tactics and strategies for mastering content in Starcraft 2. Those other guides have been built on a number of different ideas – there are guides promising you strategies to defeat all three races, strategies to get you to Platinum status, and strategies to have fun with.

But, the vast majority of strategies have problems, for a variety of reasons. To start with, the game has been in beta for a long time and a lot has changed. Second, too many strategies are based heavily on the older Starcraft model – making assumptions that don’t always play out when you start playing the new game.
