Obsidian reveal all on 'one' of the most anticipated sequels of the year...

TVG today discovered further details on the hugely anticipated Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords, along with a selection of new screens.

As previously known the game contains an all-new storyline and cast set within the timeframe of the Old Republic, however weâ??re assured that familiar faces will turn up within the game.

However itâ??s the promise of 30 new Force powers which is raising our lightsabres, with such new abilities as Force Confusion, allowing players to turn weak-minded opponents against one another or Force Sight granting players the ability to look through doors or view character alignment.

The game will feature seven worlds to explore including the mining colony Peragus, and Telos a wasteland being rebuilt after its destruction during the war in the original game.

Starting off players get the ability to create a Jedi, without having to go through the rituals of the Jedi training; however now youâ??ll be able to choose from six Jedi classes including Jedi Weapon Master and the Sith Assassin. One major introduction comes in the form of being able to split your team of ten characters into smaller groups to carry out missions concurrently, an aspect that adds immensely to the overall experience.

Obsidian ensure us that the overall combat system has been significantly beefed up, with many more combat options and strategies to employ during bouts; whilst an increase in animations ensures that the fights look even more spectacular then the original.

Weâ??ll have more on Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords soon.

I'm sure the KOTOR fanatics on here will be able to help you - head over to The Old Republic board and ask JMD, he seems to know his stuff.
