LucasArts announce Star Wars: Episode III videogame adaptation, but remain silent on which formats…

Confirmation today came from the Activate 2004 event, that a videogame adaptation of Star Wars: Episode III is currently in development; but sadly details regarding formats have yet to be announced.

Whilst the film was officially titled this week Star Wars: Episode III Revenge Of The Sith, the game will be released two weeks before the opening of the film in the US. The game will let you control one of two characters; Anakin Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi in this 3rd person action/adventure. If you play as Anakin, you will meet up with Obi-Wan on the battlefield and vice versa in the fierce light sabre fights. Each player will use their own powerful capabilities. Anakin will start turning to the dark side whilst Obi-Wan will battle to save the universe.

Star Wars: Episode III will be released on the 5th May 2005 in the US whilst a European release date has yet to be announced.
