Reports in the US suggest that Star Trek is heading for the next-generation in Autumn 2006...
According to the latest issue of US publication Game Informer, Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna developer Mad Doc is currently producing a new trekking title, Star Trek Legacy: A New Frontier. The article reports that the action-strategy title will be released by Bethesda Software (though both companies are yet to officially announce the game) and is set to feature a generation shifting, time-warping storyline that will see gamers control all five of the TV franchise Captains. Along the way (again according to the report), players will face all of the big enemies from across the Star Trek universe including the Klingons, Romulans, and the Borg.
The article also states that the game will be released for Xbox 360 with the possibility of Xbox Live multiplayer functionality, and will be released in the US during September 2006.
We'll have further news when an official announcement is made...
