Listings for a 'The Sims' style expansion pack appears (and quickly disappears) from US online stores...

It may have only launched just a few weeks ago, but it looks like Electronic Arts may already be prepping Will Wright's Spore to evolve, with the appearance of a listing for 'Spore: Cute & Creepy Parts Pack' on US-based retailers, Gamestop and Amazon.

The listing, which has now been removed, was priced at $19.99 with a release date of November 18th, and suggests that EA will follow a similar strategy to The Sims for Spore. The Sims and The Sims 2 continued to gather steam post release with numerous expansion packs, which added addition content like furniture and clothing. It doesn't take much to gather what a 'Cute & Creepy Parts' pack would contain.

Electronic Arts has made the typical 'doesn't comment on rumour or speculation' statement - the release of an expansion so soon after the main game would be a surprise - but at the same time, it's difficult not to expect such a move now.
