Spore's Creature Creator spawns 250,000 beings in its first day of service with numbers rising at two creatures per second...
EA has announced that the Spore Creature Creator has bought life to over 250,000 creatures (ranging from the bizarre to the downright ridiculous) a day after its release. Put another way, that's nearly two new creations every second!
The Creature Creator was released on Tuesday and offers a slimmed down version of the Creator that will be shipped with the full game. Gamers can either download a free trial version online, or fork out a fiver at the EA Store to own the software indefinitely (this price can be recouped when/if you purchase the game in September).
"The response to the Spore Creature Creator has been overwhelming," said Lucy Bradshaw, Executive Producer of Spore at Maxis. "The creativity and passion that the community is putting into their creatures is spectacular. The development team has spent the last 24 hours checking out the amazing creations racing in from all corners of the globe - with peak volume hitting more than 1,000 creatures being shared a minute."
Not all of the creations are entirely befitting of the program's 3+ PEGI rating though. Ever since it went live, creations based on sensitive parts of the human anatomy and various carnal acts have been well publicised on the gaming press to widespread giggles.
EA is clamping down on such riotous behaviour, with perpetrators receiving e-mails from EA Customer Support telling them that their Spore account has been flagged for "Inappropriate Content" of the "Nudity" type.
You certainly won't catch TVG indulging in such childish behaviour (ahem!).

ok...news flash, this is a 3 game...its not meant to be the best game ever...its just meant to be abit of fun, if some can tell me a game were u make ur own creture and advancde it in diffrent stages to make it the the top creature on the planet, tell me, and ill get it=) spore is uniqueand a game tht is meant for an hour or 2 of gameplay, yeh it was a bit of a let down, but tht is what expansion packs are for.

I did mind this tbh. It was good until a certain point ten its just boring I wouldnt recommend this personally.
