THQ Announce Nickelodeon Revolution Titles News

In a joint statement, THQ and Nickelodeon have announced a number of new titles based on series broadcast by the children's TV channel to be released later in the year, with two also set for Nintendo's next-gen platform, Revolution.

Once again following the adventures of a certain inhabitant of Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab along with new series Avatar: The Last Airbender, will both be appearing on Revolution along with a number of other platforms including PlayStation2, Xbox, GameCube, GameBoy Advance, Nintendo DS, and PC this Autumn.

Currently unapproved by Sony Computer Entertainment America, Nicktoons (working title) sees a number of the channel's key franchises including Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Odd Parents, and of course Spongebob, team up and battle against an enemy threatening to destroy the Nicktoons paradise island. The game is currently in development for PlayStation2, GameCube, Nintendo DS, and GameBoy Advance ahead of an Autumn 2006 release.

Based on the forthcoming movie of the same name, Barnyard will be released on July 25th for PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Advance, followed by a PC version in the Autumn. In addition two titles, Unfabulous and Danny Phantom Urban Jungle, are in development of GameBoy Advance, and Nintendo DS and GameBoy Advance respectively.

"This year's lineup includes games based upon some of the best loved Nickelodeon shows, as well as several exciting new television and theatrical properties. Nickelodeon fans and kids of all ages can expect to see new features, gameplay and adventures that are sure to provide hours of quality entertainment and loads of fun."
