Black Rock Studio reveals its latest destruction filled racer heading to 360, PS3 and PC in 2010...
Heavily rumoured since a teaser video appeared earlier in the year, Disney Interactive today took the lid of Black Rock Studios latest racer, Split/Second.
As previously expected, Split/Second features an emphasis on destruction and damage. Set within the world of a hyper-competitive reality TV show, drivers compete to be the first across the finishing line in a made-for-TV city, triggering explosive events that can drastically later the outcome and dynamics of the race.
Action aplenty in Disney and Black Rock's latest racer...
"Split/Second elevates action racing to a new level by enabling players to strategically take out their opponents by dynamically altering the course in real time," said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. "Split/Second further showcases Black Rock Studio's ability to innovate and deliver a compelling experience that has wide appeal beyond the traditional racing genre."
"We're creating huge memorable moments on par with the biggest blockbuster action films," said Nick Baynes, game director, Black Rock Studio. "Action racing has captured the imagination of video game fans worldwide and we're going to redefine that experience with Split/Second."

Okay, what model of Nvidia card do you have? How much RAM have you got in your system? How fast is your processor - does it have a single core or multiple cores? How much space is there on your hard drive?
Check these things against the system specs on the box of the game you bought. If your system matches up against the specifications and the game still doesn't work, then double-check things like error messages...
Are you getting a specific error message when you try to boot up the game? If so, post it on these boards and I'll track down the problem for you.

I would like to try it, but my mom asked if the demo version is free. Is it?

Great high action laughs, if a little too scripted, shame its not a bit more random.

I think that says it all really, although I'm glad that your younger brother has found his niche. Nonetheless, I think Blackrock Studio was aiming at a higher age range.

This was a great buy for my younger brother who is 4, he hasnt had it long but he is making steady progress - great to keep him quite for an hour & its a game which he can win within 4 attempts (on average).

I didn't say that it does give you speed (read your facts straight). All I was saying is that drifting seems to slow you down more than is necessary, so that it's just as fast (if not faster) to slimply plow into the barrier rather than execute a precise drift around a corner.

drifting is supposed to give traction, not speed. get your facts straight.
