Ubisoft officially confirms what we've been telling you for months...

Ubisoft today confirmed what we’ve been saying for months; confirming that Splinter Cell is on its way to the GameCube alongside the Playstation2 later in the year. TVG broke the news last year during our extensive feature and interview with the team behind the game; despite this Ubisoft remained reluctant to confirm a release on the Nintendo machine, but now GameCube owners can share a collective breathe of relief.<br><br>It’s known that the Playstation2 version will feature an all-new level not seen in the Xbox version, whether this will make it to the GameCube port remains to be seen.<br><br>Alongside the PS2 and GameCube ports Ubisoft announced a GameBoy Advance version, which we recently saw in action. The game has been sacrificed to a 2D side-scrolling affair, however many of the gameplay features have survived the handheld translation ensuring that the emphasis remains on stealth; hopefully we’ll have some screens soon.<br>
