Ubisoft confirms Sam Fisher's return and boy are there surprises in store...

Having tantalisingly teased us with the announcement that Splinter Cell 2 would be announced prior to E3, it was both surprising and disappointing to be told that this would not be the case, as UbiSoft seemingly backed away from a heavyweight knockout against Solid Snake in the latest chapter of the legendary Metal Gear Solid series.<br><br>Thankfully UbiSoft today put us out of our misery by confirming the multi-format title and announcing the first details.<br><br>Going by the name of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and not Splinter Cell: Shadow Strike as had originally been believed, the sequel will feature all-new multiplayer online missions – a first for the stealth genre and certainly helping to put one in the eye of Solid’s impressive comeback.<br><br>Unfortunately Ubi declined from offering any other details at this moment, besides from a release date pencilled in for Q1 2004; hopefully it won’t take too long before Ubi decide to divulge more information.
