Ubisoft Montreal producer confirms that multiplayer will feature in Conviction, but refuses to spill the beans...

More than just Sam's haircut has changed with the overhauled Splinter Cell: Conviction, but it seems one staple element of the series (since Pandora Tomorrow at least) will remain - multiplayer will feature in the game.

When asked about multiplayer in a Joystiq interview, Ubisoft producer Alexandre Parizeau claims:

"We're going to have a multiplayer, but I can't talk about it anymore than that. It's part of the things we're going to announce during the summer."

Parizeau further states that the multiplayer modes are being developed in-house at Ubisoft Montreal, after previous titles outsourced such modes to other Ubisoft studios.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory: Versus Multiplayer mode was ausome then double agent complete destroyed that part of the game. SCCT multipalyer was ausome even with the tons of bugs. If Ubi would have patched it, you would really have one hell of a game. So i hope they get it together and use SCCT as the foundation to build apon the multiplayer mode. And maybe we will see a patch that will make it one of the most inovative, unique and fun mulitplayer game for a long time to come!
