Fisher's DS debut imminent as Ubisoft confirms that Chaos Theory has gone gold...

Ubisoft has today confirmed that Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory for Nintendo DS, has gone gold ahead of its release on June 28th 2005. Chaos Theory DS will utilise both the touch-screen and dual-screen features of the handheld console for Fisher’s inventory, vision modes, and camera control for a true Third Echelon experience.

The single-player mode will also be accompanied by two multiplayer wi-fi modes – a five level co-op game, and the classic Splinter Cell Shadownet vs. Argus Mercenaries multiplayer mode.

The title will also see the re-introduction of the SWAT Turn manoeuvre, which was omitted from the home console versions earlier in the year after making its debut in Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow.
